Frantisek, According to the manuals you are absolutely right: At ISO 100, with 28mm zoom: AF400T: GN = 40 AF500FTZ: GN = 32 But this just means that both of them are more than powerful enough to illuminate subjects that are,say, 50cm from the lens. When I tested them side by side last summer, I used the 500 at 24mm zoom, and it still burned out the highlights more than did the 400T. Most of the subjects were shot at 1:1 with the Z-1 and a FA100/2.8 macro, with TTL and aperture priority at 1/250 second exposure. There must be something other than GN that cause the 400T to give more correct exposures. I'm not sure what it is... Jostein - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
