yeah. my first suggestion would be to shut down, remove all usb, start
up, then plug in the keyboard to a different port to see what gives.
if you have more than two ports, keep free the one the mouse was in so
you can out it back there and shut down the computer again by click if
needed. also if there is a friend around, try a different keyboard to
cover the unlikely chance that it died (i've seen this happen about
once a year in every 50 computers)
