Nice work as always, Jeffery! - Ah yes, TX400 ... still a nice film, but I haven't shot any in years.
- 3:4 ... I proportion photos anything from ultra-oblong to square, but most of what I like tends to fall into approximately square to 3:4 format. It's one of the reasons I've gravitated to FourThirds and 645 cameras, the native full-frame format is closer to my perceptual bias. 35mm Film (2:3) always seemed too oblong for general purpose use on verticals to me, but is fine for horizontals, with a cinematic feel. Raises an interesting thought ... I'll have to look up how many verticals I have in my finished work vs square vs horizontals. I shoot a lot of vertical orientation as well as square. Fun stuff. :-) On Sun, Sep 26, 2010 at 6:25 AM, Jeffery Smith <[email protected]> wrote: > I used 35mm film for so long, 4:3 just got to be "normal" for me. 5:4 just > seems cramped to me, especially since television screens started getting > wider. > > Jeffery > > On Sep 26, 2010, at 5:01 AM, Cotty wrote: > >> Had a look through your PAW shots, really excellent work.
