$900 wont do it now. the A85 F1.4 and A135 F1.8 both sell around
$1500 on ebay. Back in '87 these sold new for around $450. I havent
seen that many on ebay lately my ebay price data is from a year ago.

The last one I saw on ebay went for $900. I don't think it really returns
that much value. It's a collectible. I wouldn't be surprised if a DA*
50-135/2.8 is sharper at f4. Of course the extra stop + is worth something,
particularly for low-light concert pics or shots where truly minimal DOF is
desirable, but you're giving up autofocus as well. An A* 135/1.8 would not
be a practical buy for most. Paul
