Jaume, I've always used a card reader with my sd cards. I've got cards from .5gb to 16b and only 1 died - the plastic fell apart. I regularly download to my laptop and again to my desktop, and keep the shots on the card for a while. I recently deleted 600+ images from the card and started fresh. No problems... Regards, Bob S.
