I did actually change the sensitivity on my MZ-S a couple of times.
(Well, more than a couple of times in total, but rarely mid-roll).

The auto film loading was good enough (after the initial upgrade)
that you could rewind a partial roll leaving the leader out, and
reload it later, then advance to the unexposed part of the film.
I always left one additional blank frame when I did this, but I
believe the camera always got it spot on, so I could have gambled.
