The only problem I encountered was using the AF 540FGZ at the reception. It gives inconsistent exposure.

FWIW, until I got the K7 and Paul mentioned that the metering had been improved, I had pretty much given up on Pentax in camera metering, especially the flash control. Every Pentax I've had that had TTL flash metering from the LX onwards was undependable for flash exposure. The DLSRs that I've owned (istD, K10, K20) up until the K7 have been less than dependable WRT metering, whether ambient or flash. While this is annoying, my front line flash is only barely TTL friendly, and never had good TTL on my cameras that supported it. Consequently, I use it as a big, dumb auto flash, and at this it excels, with a measured accuracy of less than ± of the resolution of my flash meter.
