Thanks, Paul.
I'm not sure it'd be worth the hassle. I've talked to Chrysler a
few times and everyone I've spoken to doesn't seem too concerned
with customer satisfaction.
Of course, I haven't told any of them that the media were on hand
and captured it in video, or that I have it in pictures. Maybe that
would "light a fire under 'em" as it were. ;-)

The pictures won't make a difference. Neon and Plymouth have both been
gone for a long time. No one cares.
The only thing that might help would be a history of problems with
whatever it was that caused the fire, and, better yet, a history of
settlements.

Sorry to hear of your loss, Walter. If you have any thoughts of
seeking relief from the manufacturer or through the courts, you
have to make sure the car isn't scrapped. It's a closed case
without physical evidence.

Thank you, Ecke!
I ran a VIN search, and found out there's a flaw in the design of
the power
steering assist hose on my car -- which stands to reason, as I'd
noticed the
past few times I'd driven it that there was a slight whine
whenever I made a
hard turn.
Recall ID 06V001000 you mean, yeah that and the one I mentioned
before
also applies to your model year.
Hopefully some of that booze money can be converted into a down
payment for your lawyer ]=)
Wishing you all the best of luck, man!
