see, there's your difference between 'morally' and 'logically' - by
gut feeling, i.e. 'morally' it just isn't fair that Plymouth should
get away with building a car that catches fire, recall or not,
maintenance or not. Cars aren't supposed to be built that way, period.

'logically'... well first of all it is a cultural thing - what is
considered fair in one society may not be in another and then the rest
is probably a matter for experts, lawyers and judges to decide.

Personally, I do fail to understand how the maker of the part that
failed and caused the fire could NOT be at fault. How is that?

Parts wear out. Old cars die. The vehicle lasted at 7 years beyond the warranty.
