you're probably right and Walt seems to look at it the same way.
morally though he should be reimbursed somehow.


Morally he should be reimbursed by *whom*? If someone is at fault in this, I can't see who it is?

And if no one is at fault, then who exactly owes Walt for the damage to his car?
