It isn't a DSLR.

The P&S market has long had "as-simple-as-you-can-get" models, although
a digital camera always has something complicated in the interface to
whatever will be used in getting the images out of the camera. (If you
don't even want to worry about that, there are always cellphones ...)
Sure, there are always the stupid in-camera "picture modes", but I
suspect that those never get used for most cameras - just leave it set
on 'auto' (probably like most DSLR purchases, if the truth be known).

Nowadays the 4/3 market is adding respectable image quality to the mix,
and there are other large-sensor EVIL cameras just coming to market
(for some values of 'large', of course).
