Great read, Boris!

Like you, I have zero use for Live View. And, oddly enough, two of the features that really had me sold me on the K-x (aside from the high ISO noise profile) are ones that I've used exactly one time each -- in-camera HDR and video mode. When/if I'm ever finally able to buy my next HDR, I would absolutely love a Pentax that sacrifices the art filters and video mode in favor of low-light focusing and improved metering. Not that I have any problem with the K-x's metering ... but the 77-segments of the K-7 sure sounds like it would lend considerable peace of mind when taking high contrast shots.
