I know exactly what you mean. I didn't upgrade to the K-7 because I didn't see significant improvement in image quality. I'm still shooting with the K20D because it works very well for me. The improved dynamic range of the K-5 is very tempting, but I'm still very happy with my Sony A850 at the moment. The K-5 seems to be very good news for Pentax, though.
