I have the circa 2006 version Apple Cinema Display 23" model (DVI
input, with both FireWire and USB 2 ports). It's great.

The current model is a 27", not 24", and its cable connects to a Mini
Display Port, which requires a converter box if your laptop doesn't
have a Mini Display Port connection. I don't know much about the 24"
models which preceded them.
