Dave, if they make it out of Bundaberg, they will be very lucky. And, it's almost impossible to drive to Sydney now, there are roads cut all over the place and massive flooding everywhere. Have a look at this link here, it is only a little ways from Bundy:
http://au.news.yahoo.com/queensland/a/-/mp/8567909/qld-town-faces-worst-floo d-in-memory/ I haven't seen rain or flooding like this, ever! It is completely crazy, and especially the fact that it hasn't reached over 20 degrees (celcius) in over a week here, and this is supposed to be the height of summer! We'd normally be sweating our arses off in 35+ degrees right now! On a brighter note, our vegie garden is loving it and we got our first VERY juicy, very flavoursome and crunchy beans today! Lol. My mother-in-law & partner went to see relatives in Bundaberg for Xmas. Apparently it's raining quite a lot there. I think they're taking a scenic drive to Sydney for the holiday and I'll be looking forward to seeing their photos. I'm sure they'll come back with some interesting stories.
