that's correct, I bought it off ebay from china vendor for $20.
Pentax doesn't make one because it (RF) slightly throws off 
the stop down metering at small apertures. It's a trade
off I don't care about.

Is that from Pentax -- do they make such a thing? -- or KatzEye? 

After writing the above I Googled "Pentax split image RF screen" and came up
with a thread, here or somewhere, in which you shared your experience. One
respondent on the thread mentioned purchasing an Asian manufactured screen
for $20. However, nothing like that showed up in the Google search.
