Thanks. So I guess I do know what "open aperture metering" is, only I didn't 
know I knew. It's what I do. And it's easy to avoid the green button, since my 
camera [DS] doesn't have one. 

I have an A 50/2 also. I may see if I can trade my M 50/1.7 for an A 50/1.7, 
too.
