John, This is an inane argument. It's not 'my way' that is foiling you. It is the design of the application that Adobe delivers.
Bridge CS2 did the same thing on Mac OS X ... I can set it to open and target the containing folder when I double click a JPEG file, or drop a JPEG file onto it and have it open on that file's folder. But Bridge CS5 doesn't. That Bridge CS3 opens and displays when you double click a JPEG file Is quite likely an unintended thing no longer permitted by Bridge CS5. OR it is a bug in Bridge CS5 that precludes this from happening. Take your pick. Sorry. I'm just trying to tell you what Bridge is designed to be, and how it is designed to be used. Do whatever the hell you want. I'll not track this message thread any further as I see it is a waste of time talking to you.
