I don't get 10,000x8000 pixels of resolution from my equipment right now. My scanner gives me an image of some 5000-odd on the long side, and I can already tell the grain pretty well with Tri-X on D76. Besides the higher resolution, my hypothetical digital camera would let me change the ISO on a per-frame basis, so I'll be able to shot at the lowest possible speed, thus minimizing grain. Heck, maybe digicams should have a "Shutter *and* aperture priority" mode, where you set those two and the ISO changes to achieve the right exposure. Maybe I should patent that last one. j > > Juan said: > > > I love my Leica and my two MXs, but give me a camera of about the same > > size, that can store 50 10,000x8000 images on a $100 memory stick, > > that has a decent viewfinder, manual modes, a 10ms shutter lag and ISO > > 25-12,500 settings and I'll be digital. > > > It will happen, and when it does, the quality of my pictures will > > improve. > > -- > Shel Belinkoff > mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://home.earthlink.net/~belinkoff/ > - > This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
