LX users don't realize that the "sticky mirror" syndrome is a hoax. 
It's a Pentax Function that is used to adjust shutter release time. 
Since the LX is an older camera, and was one of the first Pentaxes to
offer "functions", the feature is not well documented.  Adjustment is
from inside the camera - you have to drop the focusing screen and adjust
the mirror/shutter timing via a small lever (on later models a screw)
that's hard to see and difficult to reach.

Unfortunately, the Leica is so archaic, there is no adjustment, other
than on/off.
