It's a pretty weird situation.

I've read pretty much everything about this situation that's been posted here and much of what's been linked to in what's been posted. I watched the TV special. I didn't encounter anything that put me off. Maybe I'll get my head bitten off here, but my sense, if you pay attention to what he's doing rather than something he happened to say, is that he's doing a good job. He seems to be going about it responsibly. He has, if he wants, his life work cut out for him. And a very interesting life's work.
Just my two cents, though I'm open to contrary observations and opinions.

I'm anything if not contrary :

Well it isn't just "something he happend to say" he wrote what I quoted in a blog, right?" and , correct me if I'm wrong, but he had to ask if "this stuff was worth anything" - (read: can I make money on this?) so that line, the quote from the blog, coupled with the self-congratulatory "wow" just kinda stings. One thing I confess not to know is who edited the photos? I'd forgive his bravado if he did it all himself. - and if the
TV doc is on line somewhere I'd like to see it. (link?)

Perhaps it got to me more because of something I experienced personally back in the when I had an exhibit in Tribeca and someone who wanted to purchase one of my photographs - and she asked me straight out if the one she preferred would be "a good investment". I tried not to show how taken aback I was by the question - but it was that "is it worth anything" question that took me back to that moment. I had the feeling if I told her a different photo was sure to be worth more than the one she chose , or if I said another one was "better" she would have switched.
