He didn't know. He was, literally, naive. Are you faulting him for that? Especially coming from someone literally naive, being impressed, not knowing, his question is open other interpretations. MHO is that as someone who was naive, he showed good judgment. My sense is he sensed it was outstanding photography. He sought out the right kind of people to ask -- the Hardcore Street Photographers group on flikr.
