I've been following the story on the news. Flooding on the scale of
what's happening in Queensland is hard to imagine ... It's an area
larger than the state of Texas. It takes two days to drive across
Texas!
Depending on where you're going across, and how you drive you can make it in
one day. Gonna be a LONG day; start early, end late and haul ass the whole way
without many breaks.
Shreveport, LA to Las Cruces, NM is about 17 hours. I've done it. Google says
14-1/2, but Google ain't never drove I-20 through Dallas/Fort Worth at rush
hour.
And I don't care what time you go through Dallas/Fort Worth, it's always rush
hour on I-20 when you get there.
It is a big state though.
My heart goes out to all the people who've lost family and friends,
homes, businesses. This is a serious catastrophe with lots of human
suffering.:-(
Yeah, it's looks bad and looks like it's gonna' get worse before it ever gets
better. Hope I'm wrong about that.
