I remember the '67 storm very well. It came a day after some really warm 
weather and eventually dumped somewhere around 30 inches. Don't think you'll 
get close to that. I lived on a residential street on the south side, and in 
those days the city didn't plow side streets. I shoveled about 150 yards of 
Dorchester from my house to 83rd Street -- a main thoroughfare. A few neighbors 
helped off and on, but none were there for the duration. It took me about 13 
hours to dig out. But I was 19 years old and strong as a bull. Couldn't do it 
now if my life depended on it.
