Christine, you said: " Lake Michigan waves are supposed to be enormous--I won't
be able to get down there to photograph them." Now that is poor planning! No
snowmobile? No backup sled dog team? And then you say: "I only have a snort or
two of scotch in the house." Now really! More poor planning!

But seriously, good luck. Hunker down, read a good book or two if you happen to
have any laying around.

I am looking forward to all of this. In central MIchigan we are toward the
northern edge of the predicted blizzard - we'll get the cold and the high winds
but only 7-10" of snow. But just in case I do have a couple of bottles of
tequila, a six-pack of Negra Modelo, and a couple of red wines. I'm good for a
couple of days anyway.Tomorrow morning I have a date with a neighbor who is
going to let me try out his snowblower - ours seems to have gone down for the
last time. And I just got my inherited Leica M2 back from an extensive and
expensive repair/CLA, may even take a few photos while I am out!

Do you suppose anybody is going to pay attention to Puxatawny Phil tomorrow?
