I was wondering where our usually dreary weather went! Your Blizzard has sucked
the moisture out of the NorthWest.
Clear skies since yesterday afternoon - cold at night, but livable with
mid-twenties at night and mid-forties during the day. Good weather for picture
taking. I have plans for tomorrow.

Having grown up just outside of Boston, and working just outside the beltway in
northern VA for 12 years, I've done my share shoveling out of 30 inch
snowfalls. I had a robust healthy father die face down in 10 inches of snow,
his snow shovel in hand at their farm in New Hampshires just shy of his 77th
birthday, just 18 hours after a four day celebration of his and Mom's 50th
wedding anniversary in Phoenix AZ. Now, with my 69th approaching rapidly, I'll
leave the shoveling to any neighbors kids, if I ever need it. Even 4 or 5
inches usually is gone two days after it snows up here, in those years we
actually have some snow.

Seattle's weather is the result of a constant battle between the South Pacific
trades (warm & full of water) and the Alaskan/Canadian bitter cold & windy
cells that try to make a winter. It fails more often than not.. :-)>

Best of luck with this one folks.

THE SENILITY PRAYER :
Grant me the senility to forget the people
I never liked anyway,
The good fortune to run into the ones I do, and
The eyesight to tell the difference.
