8 AM update - We had 'Blizzard Conditions' last night, literally. Snow in very high winds (25 mph+). It's still snowing now and the snow is up to your knees. 17 inches at O'Hare. Nobody is using our suburban sidestreets to leave their homes for work.. A snow drift blocks our front door.
City governments had plenty of warning and seem to have kept paths open to hospitals. It will take some days to dig out, but we're better off than New York looked to be. There were some snafu's as people left work early yesterday, but most folks are tucked in now. Regards, Bob S.
