Why I love the SI metric system.
Metric is fine as long as I don't need to convert it into miles, feet &
inches. I'm just as happy to measure in mm, cm, m & km; but only if the
necessary output has to be metric. If I've got to convert it, I'd rather
have a program that works in whatever unit the final output needs to be in.
The scale on the mat cutter is marked off in 1/16 inch increments. I
want the output to be in 1/16 inch increments.
Metric would just add another layer of conversion factors I'd have to
multiply by.
