You'll also find that the k-5 battery gives you quite a few more exposures than dos that of the k20. I use the battery pack as well, and have never exhausted the two batteries. Don't think I've even come close. Unfortunately, I can't elaborate more on the differences. I used the K-7 in between, and the K20 is a bit of a blur.
