It's the slider at the bottom of the 540, on the back (between
the select button/dial and the on/off switch) - labelled "sync".

The four positions are:

  o Leading Curtain Sync

  o Trailing Curtain Sync

  o Contrast Control Sync

  o High Speed Sync


One other possible interaction: for wireless mode, don't forget
you can set the flash output of the 540 to full, 2/3, 1/2, or 1/3.
(refer to pages 18, 32 & 36 of the 540FGZ operating manual :-)
