OK, I understand now. They also call it contrast control when you dial it down on the flash menu. > > o High Speed Sync > > > One other possible interaction: for wireless mode, don't forget > you can set the flash output of the 540 to full, 2/3, 1/2, or 1/3. > (refer to pages 18, 32 & 36 of the 540FGZ operating manual :-) I double checked the 540 manual. I'm still not having any luck. Is there anyone with a K-5 and a 540 who could test if they can get the 540 to work as a wireless slave off of the K-5 pop-up? I just tried this on my K-x. When I set it to wireless in the flash menu, it said "wireless, ch2" when I changed the flash to ch 1, it tracked. The camera LCD display shows ch 1, but not the color display on the back. I just tried to use the K-x as a wireless controller with it's popup flash, and it isn't working. I wonder if my 540 is broken, for the fourth time? The AF540 really does seem to be an unmitigated piece of shit. -- Larry Colen [email protected] sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
