I don't know about MS Office ... I don't use Office at all, I use
Numbers, Pages and Keynote from Apple's iWork package on my desktop
and laptop computers. All three for the iPad are about $30 if I want
to buy them.

Normally, I don't use these sorts of things on the iPad though. I
output documents for display into PDF and show that. If I want to do
more sophisticated presentations, or data manipulation, I'd buy them.

Other software ... I haven't bought much. I'm not a huge software
collector, I only buy what I use. Most of what I use are a couple of
freebies (like the Amazon Kindle Reader), a couple of inexpensive
photo massaging gizmos, etc. I've probably spent 10:1 on buying
content (ebooks, videos and music) rather than applications.

No, it does not support flash media. I abhor flash websites anyway:
have a flash blocker on my desktop systems, so I don't tend to go to
websites that are flash anyway.

I haven't found any issues with loading content. What content
restrictions are you referring to? I load PDFs, epubs, Kindle books,
videos, photographs, etc. Most of them I get free or generate myself.
