Thanks. And thanks to everyone else who commented.

I've found the following Kodak document which includes instructions for
cleaning fungus from slides. It might be of use to some people. I'll try it
on some of mine sometime:

Looking at those slides again has made me aware of how much I prefer digital
to film. It's so much easier to deal with.
