well, that's one approach, but there are alternatives ... i use a
password manager that integrates with my browser; for each new account i
1) create an unique email address (easy when you own your own domain),
and 2) create a unique, strong password; i never even see the password,
and the whole thing is saved into a vault automatically, ready to be
automatically used when i next need to log in
while there's an up-front time investment in such a system, it is a huge
timesaver in the end, and it also makes my accounts much more secure
since none of them have the same password; and if a service disobeys my
email preferences i have both a smoking gun and an easy way to filter
the email to the trash
there are numerous tools to do this sort of thing; the one i use is
called 1Password
I'm currently using three computers - one here at home, one down at
school & my laptop. How do you sync the accounts between multiple computers?
And what do you do if the computer that has the "password bank" dies?
