I know NEtscape 7.0 is behind the times but I get all my mail downloaded

It is all wonderfully easy for me to deal with this way.
I won't say NEVER - to a different set up for mail, but not if i have to
answer mail from the web. I bend only to ebay on that and copy
everything to myself - its my filing system, that I can actually
remember and these days that is really important.
I was forced to change because my ISP did something that stopped NS
being able to talk to the mail server and was supremely disinterested in
helping me fix the matter. Going to Thunderbird was comparatively
painless and I was able to transfer address books and old directories,
so nothing was lost. Using Tbird is almost identical to NSmail. The
only thing I have to watch out for now is that my ISP has a very active
spam filter at the server which often filters the pork chops, too. I
haven't found a way to download the spam folder. A quick, occasional
butcher's on the webmail interface (ptui!) fixes that.
