I'd have to say the DA 35mm 1:2.8 Macro Limited; O & WO.
It's so sharp I have to handle it with gloves on. -bmw On 11-06-22 11:25 AM, Darren Addy wrote:

There have been several lenses that have been claimed to be the "sharpest" in the Pentax stable, and others beyond Pentax (Zeiss probably most often mentioned). So I thought I would ask PDML members for their opinions on which lens (or lenses) they would rank as the sharpest in their stable: Overall and Wide Open I do not have a GREAT collection of lenses from which to choose, but I would have to say that mine right now, at least the sharpest wide open is the Tele-Takumar 200mm f5.6. In addition to sharpness it has great color and contrast. I love that lens. I have two lenses on the way that might rival it (we'll have to see)... a Vivitar Series 1 28-90mm f2.8-3.5 and a screwmount S-M-C Takumar 135mm f2.5 (version 2). The latter is definitely not the sharpest wide open (but acceptably so) but is often mentioned as one of the finest 135mm lenses in the known universe. What say you? Darren Addy Kearney, Nebraska.
