I track mileage on my 3 vehicles mainly to keep an eye out for maintaince
issues. Done this for the last 45 years.

behavior is common to scientists IT folk and the like. No offense, but I
don't go there.

I track ALL my expenditures, Paul. Takes a
couple of minutes a day. Not a big deal. I like to keep track of where
I'm wasting money unnecessarily.
