I recommend you go crazy now and work it out of your system. :) I'm an
advocate of indulging yourself and discovering the extreme limits so
you'll have a better appreciation for subtlety and restraint later on.
I'm still in the recovering bokehaholic phase myself.

Thank you, Rick.
I've wanted to learn the art of using bokeh well for a while now. I'm
going to try to not get carried away with it, but it does make for a
nice challenge in trying to incorporate it while composing the shot,
and a bit of a thrill when it works.

Everything works in this shot, Walt--composition, lighting, DOF,
bokeh. Lovely.

Hi all,
I grabbed this shot this evening while I was walking around
in the front yard this evening. All but about a dozen
or so blossoms are gone on this tree, and I just happened to
catch this one out of the corner of my eye from a pretty
good distance -- say, 25 feet give or take. And it
looked like a good bokeh opportunity.
Again, I had the K-50/1.4 on the K-x:

ISO 560, 1/500 sec, f/3.5, Manual
Any input appreciated. So do as you will.
Best,
Walt
