I agree. Going back. Friend wants to too. The  view is just too fantastic 
not to do again.

I THOUGHT I had it  permanently on the camera, which is why I was so 
self-ticked off. I forget why I  removed it, but {sigh} live and learn. Now I 
will 
double check.

Well that's just fabulous, despite technical hassles. I love the  colour 
and light in that image. You have just *got* to get back there with a  
tripod when it looks like that again. Just wow.

BTW, I'm wondering  why you don't just leave your QR plate attached 
permanently? I have one on  each body and they've never left them since I 
first screwed them  on.
