for a cramp in foot, I know this sounds weird but it works for me,
squeeze your upper lip... also, step on a cold floor, or rub with ice...

I get calf cramps and arch cramps in the middle of the night... wearing
socks to bed helps somewhat though that sounds odd too.

My husband gets foot cramps, too... a result of nerve damage due to a
back injury. His doctor recommends gin & tonics. Something about the quinine in the tonic water that helps >the cramping, and the gin acting as an overall muscle relaxant. Worth a try!

A gin gimlet (with Bombay gin & Rose's lime juice works for me) so I doubt it is the tonic water!
I only wish I could get a doctors prescription for the stuff.

Feel better, John!

My doctor has been ragging me to eat more vegetables, cut down on

I finally got started on the exercise part last week. I've been going
out every day and walking around a nearby lake. It has a 2 mile paved
Green-way around it. If I walk at a moderately fast pace I can make it
around in a little over 30 minutes which is the minimum exercise my
doctor has been recommending. I've managed six of the last seven days.

I've got a horrible cold. Every time I start coughing it feels like my
head is going to burst open. I've got a cramp in the top of my right
foot that no amount of stretching will relieve and I've got bruises
today because some asshole on a bicycle knocked me down. He came around
a blind corner too fast from behind me, knocked me ass over appetite and
just kept peddling on. He was gone so fast I didn't even have a chance
to flip him off.

I'm afraid healthy living is going to be the death of me yet.
