My perspective on this is: If you use one brand of camera as we do, unless you 
are a total newbie, you already know the Pentax system, and either have or know 
where you can find out. The PDML is where you would go to find out that you 
should go to  <http://www.bdimitrov.de/kmp/>  for descriptions and drawings of 
the various lens mounts through Pentax history.

These are useless unless someone gives you a lens that they, and you, have no 
idea what it might fit. So tuck the URLs away somewhere in your browser, and 
get on with it.
