Hi Robert, When I was considering a grip, I saw some much cheaper one from a third party manufacturer. I thought it was well under $100, but I only see one from Bower (B&H, Amazon) at $99, so, that's probably it. The reviews for it seem to be mixed. In any case, - you may want to be aware of this alternative.
I am still using K-7, but the cameras are similar in size. I am actually enjoying the camera without any battery grip (even though I had one for the ZX5n).
