Tim, I'll see if/when I get a K-5. I know I do not like the feel of my wife's
K-X and I think that form factor is more like the K-5 than the K-20. I thought
the Pentax 645 was a very user-friendly camera in size and shape and layout and
the 654D would be my ideal if it were reachable financially. As the APS-C
bodies get smaller and more compact, and the buttons and knobs and dials and
the (larger and larger) displays get scrunched into a smaller space,
awkwardness ensues.
If you would like to send me a K-5 or two for 2-3 months so that I can more
directly assess the feel and usability thereof, I would be glad to report my
observations back to the list.

Wow, that’s surprising, I love the K-5 with a nifty little prime lens

Congratulations Robert! Enjoy it!
People keep telling me to get a grip, but I don't have a spare for the K-5.
Seriously though, I find the K-20 marginal to use for any length of time
without the grip, and for me I expect the K-5 would be pretty much unusable
without the grip. I hope Pentax gets over their mania for miniaturization soon
and returns to suitable designs.

K5 wow? More like "your wife, wow!"
That's a pretty decent Christmas present!
Nice to hear from you Robert. Trust all's well and that you are having a
wonderful holiday season.
As I don't have a K5, I have no grip for same, for sale or otherwise.
Cheers,
frank

Subject: K-5, WOW
Hello,
My wife got me a K-5 for Christmas and all I can say is, WOW. What a great
camera.
Seems like I remember a used battery grip advertised on the list for $125.
Anybody have one they want to sell?
Warmest regards,
Robert
