Hello all, I for one am happy that Pentax/Ricoh have the gallery. I often participate in "judging". It's not a perfect system, but, I think many of the images are far better than those found on photo.net (and no annoying pop-ups). I have entered images in a local photography contest(Greenwood SC Festival of Flowers/FujiFilm), great images IMO, with only one honorable mention after nine entries in three years. Each year it cost me about $150 for scanning, printing, and mounting and the entry fee each time was only $15. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I plan to enter images in the Pentax/Ricoh gallery in the near future, the hard part will be getting them scanned. Most of my images are on film. Pentax/Ricoh's gallery could be greatly improved with the addition of additional categories as suggested here. Do any of the other "major" camera makers, DSLRs in particular, have equivalent free galleries?
