Ive sold nearly $100K of goods(lenses) on ebay and the total take including paypal and ebay fees is nearly exactly 10%. This is mostly on $100 items. If you sell low price stuff the fees are higher. 1/3 is not accurate except maybe on dollar items.

I've sold thousands of dollars worth of goods on Ebay.
