I heard of the new lenses in an email from Pentax forums. I clicked on the link to take a look, and I saw this comment below the announcement: "560mm lens a bit much? 840mm eff? Good luck keeping that steady." Seriously? Am I missing something or is this comment as ridiculous as it sounds?
1) In theory keeping a 540 steady on APS is no different than doing so on 24x36.
2) I do just fine with my 500mm bigma, or my tammy 300/2.8 with the 2x TC. I just don't tend to hand hold them at 1/10 second.
3) I don't think it would be any more problem than the Canikon folks have with long lenses on their APS cameras.
4) How about that shot we saw a while back taken with a 600mm on a Q. Or was that a Q on a 600mm?
