Super-Multi-Coated Takumars are better built than SMC Takumars which are better built than SMCK lenses which are better built than SMCM lenses which are better built than SMCA lenses. I cant speak for the af lenses..... As far as manual focus lenses go, each new series went downhill than the previous after the fabulous Super-Multi-Coated Takumars. jco
