excellent use of appropriate technology; any Mac with a relatively good display
could do this; i'm using OS X 10.7 now, and with Automator it's slightly
simpler on 10.7 than 10.5, but with AppleScript (which i prefer for its
flexibility) there's an extra obstacle, but not a big one; so i wrote up some
notes in response to your post:
