Lr4 is now upgrading my InProgress catalog ... that's about 79,000 images so I expect it will take a little while yet before i see the memory dynamics of using it. ;-) However, where do you have your catalog folder? What's your free space like on the startup volume where Lr is located? I've not found Lr3 to do a paging frenzy except when free space on the startup volume is too tight ... I always keep 100-200 G free space on the startup volume. My catalog folders are always on the startup volume, my image files are on an external volume. -- Godfrey godfreydigiorgi.posterous.com -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
