I agree what "paging frenzy" means is a matter of interpretation.

LR4 completed the catalog conversion in less than 15 minutes and then
imported my LR4PB catalog in about two. I didn't have time to do any
extensive messing about, but noticed that when I told it to backup
with verify it sucked up most of the free RAM but then let it go more
elegantly than LR3 did on exit. I'll work with it some this evening.

The upgrade price of $79 was a nice discount (last upgrade was $99).
The new price of $169 is an even better discount from the original
$299 price. If I was an ANPP member, there's be an additional 15%.
